Ok. So it's been a few weeks since it happened but I couldn't let it just slide by without blogging about it! The night of the midnight release of the Twilight movie (thats November 20th) I had a Scentsy party with a Twilight theme.
We had a veggie plate for the "vegetarian vampires" and apples with carmel dip (because of the apple on the cover of the book) and black and white cookies.
This one was on the door...
And I made this big homage to the books to go on the wall as you walk in...
We had 4 pages of Twilight trivia and all in all it was uber cool! Thanks to everybody who came, most of which actually came for the Scetsy stuff and not for the Twilight stuff (imagine that)! I would love to do it again and have an actual dinner and then Twilight Jeopardy or something. Anyway I kept all my decorations so if you are ever having a Twilight party...you know who to call.
P.S. Saw the movie with MY Edward the next night and my initial reaction was Yikes! I hated that! (Garth liked it though.) BUT.. upon viewing it a second time and knowing what was coming and what was not, I really liked it. The effects need some more money (ie the running through the forrest on TOP of the foliage-- PLEASE!!!) but other than that I can tell they really thought about alot. Plus it's just plain fun to see one of my favorite books played out. The music was amazing!!! Ok... I downloaded it early and hated it but after puting those songs with a scene I can't get enough! Even Robert Pattinson's songs which were unbearable to my ears, after looking up the lyrics, I appreciate.
For your listening pleasure I have downloaded MY Twilight playlist (for the books) that I made about a year ago and unveiled to the world at my party. It does have an order but I put the tunes on random mostly so I don't have to hear the same thing every time I log on. (Get's very boring) Enjoy!

Britter - WOW, you totally went all out on the "Twilight" Scentsy party!! You go girl. It looks like you had a great time and the decorations are AWESOME! As for the movie... I LOVED it! I know you were a little let down with the first viewing so I'm glad you liked it the second go around. I agree they could have done a little better job on some of the special effects, but all-in-all I really enjoyed it! Not only that I enjoyed the whole weekend with you & Garth. Thanks soooo much for hooking up with us. It was a BLAST! Let's plan another one after I have the baby.
I haven't seen Twilight yet. Bummer. I haven't been able to drag Jordan to it yet. I love the decorations for your party. Great type! I'm in a Typography class so that's the first thing I noticed. I also love Scentsy. Wish I could have been there. I didn't know that you sold Scentsy. I'll give you a call next time we need some new bars. I'm excited to see you next week!
Bethany was telling me about you went all out for this party. It was better than I pictured it. Very Brit, very cute.
Great job, Brit. I wish I had you here when I threw my Breaking Dawn party.
Nice job on the party! It looks awesome.
I really liked the movie too, but mostly because I think rob pattinson is super hot! The special effects were very cringe worthy, but hopefully since everyone I know has seen this movie at least 3 times, they will have more money to make the second one better.
Here is the question... How did your husband like it? Lee thought it was lame.(but he also hasn't read the books)
Wow. You really went all out with your party. That looks like a lot of fun. I loved the movie. I saw it alone because I didn't want to take Jeremy and then have him cap on it. It was very entertaining, which was all I was expecting. And Rob was HOT. (That still feels creepy to say, but he's over 18, at least!)
Cous Steph
Thanks for inviting me to the party, I'm glad I took Rhett so he could approve of the scents I picked out and narrow my choices even though Garth kept saying Rhett doesn't care. Your decorations were great and you looked very cute.
